SQPs attending BETA International can use their visit as self-reflection CPD, helping support their ongoing AMTRA CPD requirements. Feed Advisors and Equine Nutritionists can also gain BETA ENFAR CPD

To make this as simple as possible and decide what the best option is for you, please read the steps below.

How to gain AMTRA CPD

1. Attend BETA International, sponsored by Neue Schule
Visit BETA International and take part in relevant learning opportunities such as seminars, meetings, networking, product discovery, or conversations that support your SQP role.

 2. Stay at the show for a minimum of 4 hours
To be eligible, you must be able to show that you attended BETA International for at least 4 hours.

 3. Scan out before you leave and complete the short AMTRA attendance form
Before leaving the show, you must have your ticket scanned on exit. This is required as proof of attendance. You will also need to complete a quick form with your:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • SQP number

 4. Submit your self-reflection via the AMTRA website
After the event, you must submit your self-reflection CPD claim directly through the AMTRA website.

Your reflection should include a short summary of what you learned and how it may support your role as an SQP. It does not need to be complicated — a few clear sentences are enough. You may want to include:

  • What you learned at BETA International
  • How it may influence the advice you give
  • Any new products, trends, or information you discovered
  • What further learning you may want to do next

5. Submit within 3 months
Your self-reflection CPD must be recorded within 3 months of attending BETA International, but AMTRA recommends completing it as soon as possible while the information is fresh in your mind.

 Important information
Self-reflection CPD is for CPD that is not already AMTRA-accredited but still supports your SQP role.

AMTRA CPD points are awarded at a rate of 4 points per hour of reflective CPD, subject to AMTRA’s personal points caps.

BETA International will share attendance information with AMTRA, including the details submitted via the attendance form and confirmation that you were scanned out after a minimum of 4 hours at the show.

Please note: you must scan out and complete the form in order for your attendance information to be passed to AMTRA.

  • What further learning you may want to do next
3. Submit within 3 months
