Red Gorilla is joining BETA International as a sponsor in 2026, supporting the Red Gorilla Feed Hub. This feature is for anyone who sells feed and supplements, providing a bespoke seminar programme and the opportunity to meet key representatives from the most prominent feed brands to discuss product ranges, commercial opportunities, and plenty more besides. We couldn’t think of a better brand to sponsor this area, and we’re excited to share a bit more about the company and its origins with you, over to Dean Cox from Red Gorilla…
Red Gorilla is an icon in the industry, but for those who don’t know about you, can you share a bit about the brand’s history?
Red Gorilla’s story began in 1981, when we first sold Tyre Rubber Feed Skips to UK horse owners.
In 1995, we created the original Tubtrug®, the first flexible, two-handled tub of its kind. It went on to become one of the most recognisable products in the equestrian industry and is now known as the Gorilla Tub®. The business was rebranded as Red Gorilla® in 2018, but our focus has remained the same: creating tough, practical and innovative products that make everyday jobs easier.
Today, our range includes tubs, buckets, bins, brooms, forks, shovels, skips and other stable and yard essentials, with products used across the equestrian, agricultural, gardening and building sectors.
What is Red Gorilla’s ‘hero’ product? Is there one product or line it is best known for?
The Gorilla Tub® is undoubtedly our hero product. Originally launched as the Tubtrug®, it was the first flexible, two-handled tub of its kind and has become a staple in equestrian settings around the world.
The range is available in different sizes and a wide choice of colours, but every Gorilla Tub® is designed to offer the same strength and flexibility.
What makes Red Gorilla different from other companies offering similar products?
We design products around real jobs and the people who carry them out every day. Strength and durability are essential, but we also consider how a product feels to use, how easily it can be used and how it can help someone complete a job more efficiently.
Innovation has always been central to Red Gorilla®. From creating the original flexible two-handled tub to developing storage, grooming and stable management products, we look for practical improvements rather than simply following the market.
Our distinctive colours and coordinated ranges also help retailers create strong displays and allow customers to build a collection that works together. Alongside this, we are continuing to invest in UK production, recycled materials and products designed to offer a long working life.
What kind of retailer should come and see you at the show?
Everyone! If a retailer is selling to horse owners adding our range to their offer is the easiest thing in the world.
Whether buying direct from us or via one of the country’s leading wholesalers we are happy to support retailers with industry know how on how to make small retail spaces lucrative, using our “Profit Packs” for easy stock, display and sales.
Our products combine strong consumer recognition with practical everyday use, making them relevant to a broad customer base. They also offer retailers plenty of opportunities for repeat purchases, coordinated displays, seasonal promotions and cross-selling across feeding, storage, grooming and stable management.
Whether someone is an established Red Gorilla® stockist or considering the range for the first time, we would be delighted to discuss their customers, available space and the most commercially suitable product mix for their business.
What kind of equestrians use your products?
Our products are used by equestrians at every level, from families caring for a first pony to professional riders, grooms, breeders, competition yards, riding schools and large livery businesses.
The jobs may differ, but everyone needs reliable equipment that can cope with daily use. Red Gorilla® products are designed to be practical, easy to use and tough enough for busy yard environments, while the range of styles, sizes and colours means customers can choose products that suit the way they work.
Why have you chosen to sponsor the Feed Hub this year?
The Feed Hub is a natural fit for Red Gorilla® because feeding and stable management have been at the heart of our range since the business began. Our tubs, buckets, feed skips and Gorilla Bins™ are used every day to prepare, carry and store feed, so there is a clear connection between our products and the knowledge being shared within the Feed Hub.
We also wanted to support a feature that brings feed brands, retailers and industry experts together. Education and good product knowledge are hugely important within the equestrian trade, and the Feed Hub gives retailers access to useful information that they can take back to their businesses and share with customers.
Most importantly, the sponsorship reflects our commitment to supporting the retailers and professionals who keep the equestrian industry moving.
What are you most excited about when it comes to BETA International?
For us, BETA International is about people. It gives us the opportunity to spend meaningful time with existing customers, meet new retailers and hear directly about what is happening in their businesses.
