The New Product Showcase is now open for entries, and to celebrate, we wanted to revisit some of the 2025 New Product Award winners and see how they have used the win to further support the business. Last year saw the EquiParent’s Boot Jackets win the Equestrian Wear & Lifestyle category of the New Product Awards. 

  1. Last year, you won the New Product Award for Equestrian Wear & Lifestyle can you remind us about the product and why you entered the Showcase?

Last year I entered Boot Jackets in the New Product Showcase.  Boot Jackets are silicone covers for equestrian riding boots. They can be worn over tall boots and paddock boots. I invented them because there is no other product on the market that protects the leather on boots from the elements while still being able to ride in them. They are easy to put on and take off due to the zipper up the front. They also have a slit on the heel so it can be worn over a spur, and the soles are made with a tread so your foot will not slide out of the stirrup.  They can be worn while grooming and tacking your horse, walking a course, riding in the rain, hosing off your horse. A judge recently told us that cleaner boots would be a tiebreaker in the show ring if they were judging two riders where all else was the same. We entered the product into the New Product Showcase because it was our first time at BETA International and we felt it would give our product more exposure. 

  1. Did you find that people had seen your product on the Showcase and then came to the stand to see you and find out more about it?

People definitely came to our booth to find out more about Boot Jackets and EquiParent after seeing them in the New Product Showcase. 

  1. How did it feel to win the New Product Award in your category? Did you expect it?

Winning the New Product Award in our category was amazing.  It was very exciting to receive the affirmation that it was a quality product with value and purpose to equestrians.  We did not expect to win, so it made the trip to England even more worthwhile. 

  1. What have the benefits been to you and your business? 

We always believed in our product, but when you have a panel of experts behind your product I think it speaks louder to consumers.  We are based in the USA, so we were not sure what to expect from attending BETA International. We confirmed our suspicion that Boot Jackets would be a welcome popular product in the UK. We proudly display our Award whenever we are displaying Boot Jackets. 

  1. Will we be seeing you at this year’s BETA International? What can we expect to see from you this year? 

We are hoping to return to BETA International this year. Travel costs have caused some hesitation.  If we do return, we would love to enter another product in the New Product Showcase. 

  1. What advice would you give to companies thinking of entering the New Product Showcase and Awards?

I would tell other companies not to hesitate to enter new product in the Showcase. They will definitely get great exposure for their products.
