Designed to bring high-calibre retailers face-to-face with top-tier manufacturers, the programme is a bold step toward reinforcing BETA International as the annual event for meaningful business connections.
This exclusive initiative will see a carefully curated selection of retailers invited to attend the two-day event, with travel and accommodation costs covered (up to a set value). In return, participating buyers will commit to attending both days of the exhibition, engaging in pre-arranged meetings with exhibitors, joining networking events, with the purpose of securing new orders for their stores.
“We’re incredibly excited to launch the Hosted Buyer Programme,” said Liz Ormesher, Event Director of BETA International. “This initiative is all about elevating the business value of the show. By attracting serious retail buyers and providing them with the tools and opportunities to connect directly with suppliers, we’re fostering an environment where deals can be done, relationships can be built, and innovation can be discovered.”
One of the key features of the programme will be a series of dedicated networking opportunities, including an exclusive drinks reception, giving buyers and exhibitors the chance to meet in a more relaxed, informal setting. These moments are designed to go beyond the show floor and facilitate deeper business conversations that can lead to long-term partnerships.
Buyers selected for the programme will also receive a specially curated goody bag, packed with samples and sneak previews of the latest products being launched at the show.
In return for these benefits, invited buyers will be expected to fulfil specific participation criteria. These include attending both days of the show, scheduling and holding meetings with a minimum number of exhibitors and actively engaging in the networking events. The aim is clear: to ensure that the BETA International Hosted Buyer Programme drives real, tangible commercial outcomes for everyone involved.
Retailers interested in applying for a place on the programme are encouraged to register their interest early, as places are limited and will be allocated based on buying power, sector relevance, and a demonstrated commitment to sourcing new products and building new supplier relationships.
“We know that time is valuable for both buyers and exhibitors,” added Liz. “The Hosted Buyer Programme is our way of ensuring that the right people are in the right place, at the right time, to make business happen. It’s about creating value and elevating BETA International into a real engine of commercial growth.”
The 2025 edition of BETA International promises to be one of the most dynamic yet, and with the introduction of the Hosted Buyer Programme, the show is poised to attract the most influential retail players from across the sector.
